Carrie Blume has practiced in the fields of Texas corporate and real estate law since 1999.  Her practices focuses on commercial real estate purchase and sale transactions, development, office, retail and industrial leasing, and financings, as well as business organization formation and governance.  Ms. Blume represents a variety of real estate developers and users in commercial, industrial, and residential projects in and around Texas.

Ms. Blume began her legal career at Baker Botts L.L.P. in the Real Estate section of the Corporate Department.  Prior to affiliating with Matthew T. Hagan, P.C., and SKLaw as Of Counsel, Ms. Blume was General Counsel and Assistant Vice President of Retriever Payment Systems (now known as National Processing Company).

Ms. Blume was born in Nashville, Tennessee, and grew up in Mobile, Alabama.  She received a B.A. cum laude and M.A. in Classical Studies and a J.D. from Duke University.    

Ms. Blume is an active member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, having served as a member of the Board of Stewards and Executive Committee, as a Bible study leader, and as a Sunday School teacher and officer.  Ms. Blume also volunteers with the Christian Community Service Center in both its Emergency Services and Jingle Bell Express programs.

She is a member of the State Bar of Texas.
